Introduction

Mok Kun-su is one of the founding partners (and current managing partner) of Hwang Mok Park P.C. and heads the firm’s Corporate & Business Consulting Group and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Group. Some of his representative matters include Merck Sharpe & Dohme, AstraZeneca, Gilead, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Siemens and Olympus in regulatory and commercial matters in the Korean pharmaceutical industry, through their joint ventures and/or subsidiaries; advising multiple Emerson group subsidiaries in all corporate legal matters; advising Saint-Gobain in its joint venture and subsidiary business operations in Korea; SunEdison/MEMC in their business operations through multiple joint venture and subsidiary entities in Korea; Japan Tobacco (JTI) in regulatory and commercial matters in the tobacco industry; and SK-Enron in its acquisition of several local city gas companies; advising Korea Foreign Schools Foundation and Yongsan International School of Seoul in their establishment and operations. As a leading authority on Korean pharmaceutical and healthcare law, Mr. Mok also acted for a group of leading multinational pharmaceutical companies in obtaining of regulatory approval for, and the subsequent establishment of, the KRPIA, and he represented PhRMA in the reformation of Korea’s Pharmaceutical Affairs Act and Regulations.
