At the meeting, Lee Si-hyeon, who works in coal shipping and trading as CEO of
Penascop Maritime United Indonesia, and who has been in Indonesia for about 12
years, gave a talk on ‘the importance of Southeast Asia and networking as seen
through numerical data.’
As one of the founders of Penascop Maritime United, which utilizes Asian networks
in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and and so on, Lee
presented current industry trends from Southeast Asian countries and shared
with young participants his business experiences and knowhow gained through networking.
Lee also emphasized the role young workers have to play in promoting the shipping,

rather than ‘competition,’ specifically by holding regular meetings, etc.
